Summary: nv50/NVS135M: laptop runs hot
Product: xorg
Version: 7.3
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
ReportedBy: freedesktop.org-Rkx4Xfb3x/xKcvNr4i3U6IQuADTiUCJX@public.gmane.org
QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org
When working under Linux I lately experience the laptop runs quite hot
(resulting in high fan-action, ...). This doesn't seem to be the case under
Windows or so. Also there seems to be no load on the CPU (powertop reports it's
quite idle, top shows nothing suspicious except Xorg taking approx 6% cpu) etc.
So I suspect it might be GPU-related.
