Subject: [Bug 26399] New: [2.6.33-rc6 + drm-linus] RV635 desktop mobile - KMS causes screen to go blank for good
Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2010 14:14:25 -0800 (PST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-26399-502@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)

http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26399

           Summary: [2.6.33-rc6 + drm-linus] RV635 desktop mobile - KMS
causes screen to go blank for good
           Product: DRI
           Version: XOrg CVS
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: DRM/Radeon
        AssignedTo: dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
        ReportedBy: shawn.starr@rogers.com

If I enable KMS, the display goes blank and does not come back. I can SSH into
the machine however. I do have this computer hooked up to a KVM switch. I was
watching the machine boot up on the screen and as soon as it switches into KMS
it went blank.

KVM Switch is a 4 port StarView VGA connector only, the radon card has only DVI
connectors so I use a VGA-to-DVI converter connector.

pci information of the card:
