Subject: [Bug 31026] New: External display does not work with Nouveau driver
Date: Thu, 21 Oct 2010 02:08:05 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-31026-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31026
Summary: External display does not work with Nouveau driver
Product: xorg
Version: 7.5
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/nouveau
AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
ReportedBy: lcid-fire-hi6Y0CQ0nG0@public.gmane.org
QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org
I switched from Nvidia to Nouveau driver and I have to say you guys did an
amazing job. Thanks a lot. One gripe (aside from slow 3D performance) I have is
that it doesn't access the external monitor of that machine. I can enable the
external one but it doesn't even recognize that it does get any signal (led
does just blink).
