Subject: [Bug 42878] New: black flash every time pm changes clocks
Date: Sun, 13 Nov 2011 17:22:37 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-42878-502@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42878
Bug #: 42878
Summary: black flash every time pm changes clocks
Classification: Unclassified
Product: DRI
Version: XOrg CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: DRM/Radeon
AssignedTo: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: aaalmosss@gmail.com
On my barts gpu the dynpm is completely unusable, as there is a black frame
every time the clocks are changed. I looked at the code, and it changes all
parameters at once. I think it is too much for one vblank period. Maybe setting
voltage/core/memory in separate vblank periods fixes this?
