Summary: nouveau.vbios=pramin
Product: Drivers
Version: 2.5
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Tree: Mainline
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
AssignedTo: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
ReportedBy: cedric@brandenbourger.lu
Regression: Yes
When using the kernel mainline 3.2 or 3.4 i am able to suspend to ram when
using the boot parameter "nouveau.vbios=pramin". I attached the information of
my graphic card as a file.
Without using this parameter i am unable to resume from suspend. The screen is
multicolored but no reaction to keyboard or mouse or network.
Since kernel 3.5 this parameter is not working anymore. I tried 3.6, 3.7 and
3.8
Perhaps the option has another name now, but i can't find it. So for my it's an
regression
