Subject: [Bug 60504] New: setpgid(2): mention of SIGTSTP instead of SIGTTIN
Date: Thu, 04 Jul 2013 16:02:11 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-60504-11311@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60504
Bug ID: 60504
Summary: setpgid(2): mention of SIGTSTP instead of SIGTTIN
Product: Documentation
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: man-pages
Assignee: documentation_man-pages-ztI5WcYan/vQLgFONoPN62D2FQJk+8+b@public.gmane.org
Reporter: graud-KK0ffGbhmjU@public.gmane.org
Regression: No
>From the manpage:
" if a background process group tries to read(2) from the terminal, then the
group is sent a SIGTSTP signal, which suspends it. "
I believe SIGTTIN is sent to suspend the job in that case.
