Subject: [Bug 70701] New: With DPM enabled, Radeon 4570 (R710) doesn't remain in Single_Disp state
Date: Mon, 17 Feb 2014 08:49:18 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-70701-2300@https.bugzilla.kernel.org/> (raw)

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70701

            Bug ID: 70701
Summary: With DPM enabled, Radeon 4570 (R710) doesn't remain in
                    Single_Disp state
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 3.13
          Hardware: x86-64
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Video(DRI - non Intel)
          Assignee: drivers_video-dri@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: abhinav.kumar.in@gmail.com
        Regression: No

When using DPM with the open-source radeon driver, the Card first gets into
Power-State-1 which is the desirable one. But after few seconds, it changes its
state to a seemingly multi-display one.

Tested on a Dell Studio 1555 with Radeon 4570 running Trusty alpha and openSUSE
13.1.
