Changing the topic of this one should be fine.
And yes, that sounds like some kind of video playback problem, but it's not
necessary VDPAU related.

Where is this error message coming from? Is that reproducible? Does pure VD=
PAU
playback using mpv works.
The problem seems to be that something tries to use a deinterlace filter, m=
ost
likely using OpenGL instead of VDPAU and that filter is what is causing the
crash.
