I tried to test both patches on top of 4.6_rc7. I can't tell if this bug is repaired, because I immediately ran into bug #95054 and another new bug I haven't had so far within seconds after I logged into KDE. After three attempts for each patch I gave up trying. Sorry, I am of no help in this case.
