Subject: [Bug 99683] Powerplay features request: manually set GPU (Fiji) frequency beyond default limits and per application

Bug ID: 99683
Summary: Powerplay features request: manually set GPU (Fiji)
frequency beyond default limits and per application
Product: DRI
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: DRM/Radeon
Assignee: dri-devel@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: bug0xa3d2@hushmail.com
My R9 Nano is watercooled and does not get hot even when operating at 1000mhz,
its' max frequency.
1) I request the ability to manually set the frequency beyond 1000mhz.
2) I would like the ability to have user determined frequencies to
automatically be applied per application or process as well.
For example: I set somewhere that the GPU runs DOTA2 at 1200mhz until the game
process ends.
