[PATCH mptcp-next 0/2] mptcp: some self-tests fixup

The 2 squash-to patches try to address issues/221, at least
for the root cause reported in the github tracker.

Note, I can still reproduce some self-test failures, on other
link_failure test case, but with lower rate and different
cause - to be investigated.
