However, there is some sound coming out of the front mike jack, and input is accepted through the headphone jack. Since these jacks work as expected with Windows XP, I suspect that they are misassigned in the driver. Hardware: RealTek ALC655 AC'97 with ALC880(D) Please let me know if there is anything else that you need from me. Thank you, AG ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alfred-ganz - 06-24-05 16:54 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The real problem is that there is no proper depmod dependency for snd-page-alloc. If I do modprobe snd-page-alloc ; modprobe snd-hda-intel the errors go away! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alfred-ganz - 06-24-05 17:26 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I see no difference in behavior between the driver in alsa-driver-1.0.9b.tar.bz2 and the one built from current cvs sources, except that I now need to first modprobe snd-page-alloc. Here is what I can observe: Front jack shows stereo output, Front Mic jack shows sound, I presume Headphone, With channels set to ch6, LineIn jack shows stereo sound, I presume Surround, no other jacks show output. Headphone jack accepts line input, no other jack seems to accept input.
