Subject: Chaining to the MBR on a second hard disk
Date: Tue, 28 Aug 2007 16:00:41 +0000 (UTC) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <fb1gr8$u7c$1@sea.gmane.org> (raw)
Hello everyone,
I have two SATA hard disks. Each can be used by itself and boots without
a problem when it is the first disk.
Unfortunately the BIOS does not allow selection between the two for
booting.
I have been unable to GRUB to chain to GRUB on the second hard disk MBR.
Many things have been tried. The closest I have come is to loop back to
GRUB on the first disk. Using (hd0) and (hd1) both loop back to GRUB on
the first disk.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert H.
