Subject: IDE disks with kernel 2.6.24
Date: Mon, 26 May 2008 15:02:49 -0300 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <g1eu0b$qb0$1@ger.gmane.org> (raw)
Hi!
I have a little doubt about IDE disks with kernel 2.6.24. I am using
Debian Lenny (testing). The kernel provided by Lenny is 2.6.24-1. I have
an IDE disk and the boot process shows: "waiting for root filesystem".
The Google says: "change hdX by sdX". It is working fine. But, I don't
understand why I need to use sdX now. What is the reason?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Eriberto - Brazil
