The reason for this was corrupted PCI setup, which prevented the USB
controller to bus-master to some memory regions.

USB memory stick now works great with IXP425 and ISP1562 or ISP1564.

The 1564 has the advantage that both USB ports are usable at a time
as they are handled by the same controller.

The 1562 has one PCI device for each USB port. I think this is not
handled in u-boot.
