Whoops - forgot to make clear that this assumes GPT partitioning despite
using a traditional boot process, and that the only two partitions are the
LUKS partition and the BIOS Backup Partition. That's essentially what my
setup was when I used GRUB2's encryption support, although I didn't take the
minimization steps described.
