Subject: [PATCH 01/10] tun: Remove unnecessary tun_get_by_name
Date: Tue, 20 Jan 2009 12:56:20 -0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <m1skndlmrv.fsf@fess.ebiederm.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <m1y6x5lmvy.fsf@fess.ebiederm.org> (Eric W. Biederman's message of "Tue\, 20 Jan 2009 12\:53\:53 -0800")

Currently the tun driver keeps a private list of tun devices for what
appears to be a small gain in performance when reconnecting a file
descriptor to an existing tun or tap device. So simplify the code by
removing it.
