Ok, seems to work, but it looks like you have to have the default routes
in the order of the interfaces, e.g.:
eth0: 10.0.1.2 (/24)
eth1: 10.0.2.2 (/24)
ip route add default nexthop via 10.0.1.1 dev eth0 nexthop via 10.0.2.1
dev eth1
