Subject: [LARTC] Priority on incoming traffic
Date: Thu, 21 Mar 2002 16:45:23 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-lartc-101672926209656@msgid-missing> (raw)
Looking the howto, I found:
15.4 Prioritizing interactive traffic
Saying that there is also a pfifo_fast scheduler in the incoming queue
(if I understand well), is it true ?
(...)
# iptables -A PREROUTING -t mangle -p tcp --sport telnet \
-j TOS --set-tos Minimize-Delay
# iptables -A PREROUTING -t mangle -p tcp --sport ftp \
-j TOS --set-tos Minimize-Delay
# iptables -A PREROUTING -t mangle -p tcp --sport ftp-data \
-j TOS --set-tos Maximize-Throughput
(...)
But for having this to work, I must have a queue, and so I must use
ingress traffic shaping with Tocken Buffer Filter. Where would be then the
pfifo_fast scheduler ?
