Subject: [LARTC] High-performance shaping
Date: Fri, 22 Nov 2002 13:59:40 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-lartc-103797364803958@msgid-missing> (raw)
Hello,
does the PC/Linux 2.4 architecture good for the following:
some FastEthernet cards (maybe a Gbit uplink)
- traffic-shaping between VLANs/interfaces
- scheduling
- filtering (some smart iptables rules :)
I would like to build a central router based on Linux which does
VLANs, traffic-shaping, QoS for voip/interactive protocols, maybe some
tunnels and BGP with Zebra.
Is this possible? What HW do I need?
Thanks in advance,
Thomas
