Message-ID: <marc-lartc-106378717218805@msgid-missing> (raw)

I changed my lo device name to lo:1 using ip command

this is what I did
ip link set dev lo name lo:1

my network did not respond and I had to reboot the system,
I was not able to change it back or add lo device using ifconfig

Please let me know why did it happen, what does lo play in
network?
I have eth0 assigned....
