I'm Running Redhat 7.3, with hotplug etc.
I'm having problems with a HID device.
I plug it in and my system recognises it and assigns it to hiddev0
but for some reason I cannot find the device hiddev0 anywhere in my /dev tree
here's what shows up in my messages file.
Nov 25 15:57:37 localhost kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on
bus1/1/3, assigned device number 4
Nov 25 15:57:37 localhost kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame#
1377
Nov 25 15:57:41 localhost kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Nov 25 15:57:41 localhost kernel: hiddev0: USB HID v1.00 Pointer [Phidgets
Inc. PhidgetInterfaceKit] on usb1:4.0
Nov 25 15:57:45 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup hid for USB
product 6c2/41/300
And when I do a Find of hiddev0 on my root filesystem it comes up with nothing.?
