Subject: hotswap Ethernet interface E100 and E1000

I am working on Tiger with kernel 2.5.67.
The hotswap of the board e100 or e1000 (Ethernet Intel) does problem :
- selftest timeout with e100
- EEPROM checksum error with e1000.

the led of slot PCI is green, ifconfig on the device is OK, ping network
NOK.
Any ideas are welcome...
