Subject: pbm2lwxl success report: DYMO Turbo 330 printer
Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 02:19:27 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-linux-hotplug-106696985519210@msgid-missing> (raw)

Using Mandrake Linux 9.0 patched for Win4Lin, kernel version on the
thin client actually running the printer is 2.4.19-24mdk. Thin client
box is a Motium (http://www.motium.com.au/) diskless fanless wonder
using a VIA EPIA (Centaur Hauls) motherboard. Printer is "DYMO
LabelWriter Turbo 330", USB ID is 0922:0008.

Steps to make it go are:

service usb start # implies modprobe usb_uhci and usbcore
modprobe printer # or can teach the hotplug stuff about the ID
pbm2lwxl WWW HHH <testfile.pbm >/dev/usb/lp0

To tell HotPlug about the printer, append this to
/etc/hotplug/usb.usermap, all on one line:

# DYMO label printer
printer 0x0003 0x0922 0x0010 0x0000 0x0000 0xFF
      0x00 0x00 0x07 0x01 0x02
      0x00000000

Cheers; Leon
