I believe that 1394 scanners will maintain state through bus resets, as 1394
bus resets are not as disruptive as scsi bus resets (all that's really
required 1394-wise is for the initiator to "reconnect" to the target). They
should only lose state if actually unplugged from the bus itself. But...
this is the behavior I would "expect" (have not verified this)... ;-)
