You've got some sort of configuration error, but I don't think it is a
problem.  Your messages all look good to me.

You need to configure this interface fully; this doesn't assign an IP
address.  You did read the README-2.4 file for PCMCIA, right?  This
card is now managed by the "hotplug" subsystem, and doesn't get its
configuration the same way as 16-bit PCMCIA cards.  You need to
install the linux-hotplug scripts (which actually seem to have at
least been able to load the right driver already).  You might merely
need to do "ifup eth0".

No significance, it means the card is defaulting to using its (only)
10/100baseT transceiver, which is a "MII" media-independent interface
chip.
