Subject: Yamaha 724 PCI without PC/PCI link

Message-ID: <marc-linux-sound-91710095802713@msgid-missing> (raw)
My sound card is Yamaha 724 PCI without PC/PCI interface
on my mother board. Linux kernel is 2.1.132. The pciutils
is 1.09.
When I boot to DOS first and initialize it in DOS, then
loadlin linux, the sound card can sound 8bit sounds. I used
lspci and setpci to check its configuration registers, found
40.l is 0x90003f5f and 4c.w is 0x8011 against the defaults.
My /etc/conf.modules looks like the following:
pre-install sb /sbin/setpci -d 1073:0004 40.lê003f5f
pre-install sb /sbin/setpci -d 1073:0004 4c.wÄ11
alias sound sb
options sb -k io=0x220 irq\x10 dma=1 type=4
alias midi opl3
options opl3 -k io=0x388
But when I boot linux directly, the modules can be loaded,
but no sound. I think there must require some additional
init commands. Cound anyone give me some implication?
