To tell you the truth, I'm not entirely sure. I know that it's an
extension of the cs4235, and that one of the enhancements is the 'srs' dsp
[srs=sound retrieval system], there is an interface for an external
wavetable device, and, of course, there is a sound blaster interface
(which is probably present in the cs4232 as well, but I've only got a
list of differences between the cs4236 and the cs4237b).
I have full documentation available in pdf format if you're interested.
(Please note that I'm not a programmer, otherwise I'd be trying to write
my own module).
