Subject: parallel port midi interface?
Date: Mon, 30 Aug 1999 23:55:21 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-linux-sound-93605764606488@msgid-missing> (raw)
forgive this newbie question -- i've scoured the web, to no avail...
i have an external GS/GM sound module which is connected to my machine
via a parallel-port midi interface (Opcode midi translator pc).
(how) can i get linux to recongnize/use this device?
(current status: midi out via soundcard works fine; parallel-port printer
works fine; but linux shows no sign of being able to see the midi device
at the parallel port.)
thanks,
-brian
