Subject: "VU meter" for sound card??
Date: Sun, 26 Aug 2001 20:51:08 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-linux-sound-99885940016428@msgid-missing> (raw)
Greetings: Is there a software "VU" meter for a Sound Blaster sound
card?
In other words: If I connect a mike or any other input device to the
mic jack or line in jack - how do I know what level to send?
I have the *limits* and can control the level with AUMIX, but WHAT is
the proper level?
Worked my entire life in Sound Recording - analog of course - but
this digital stuff seems *different*.. <grin>
