Aha. This is a bug in ssh. In contrib area of ultrapenguin-1.0.9 you can
find a ssh rpm which includes the necessary fix (and the binaries if you
want - it is 1.2.22 as well).

It is the 64bit compiler, currently used only to make kernel.

This one should be fixed in current kernel. So, if you don't want to wait,
read instructions on ftp://vger.rutgers.edu/pub/linux/README.CVS and cvs
checkout the new kernel and compile it yourself. Tell me whether X blinking
disappeared.
