Subject: Sun StorEdge A1000 disk arrays

The mail server I'm setting up is using Ultra5 boxes with Sun
StorEdge A1000 disk arrays. Does anyone know what sort of RAID
controller it contains (we're getting the RAID-in-hardware
version rather than the just-a-box-of-disks D1000 version) and,
if so, whether there's ever likely to be a Linux driver for them.
I'd have preferred running Linux with PCs and DPT arrays but for
finger-pointing reasons we're getting everything from Sun. The
powers that be are happy with using Linux as an O/S in general so
once Ultralinux stabilises it might be worth considering moving
to Linux instead of Solaris. Driver support is the only problem.
