Subject: ULTRA LINUX 1.1 bootable CDROMs

Hi!

For folks interested in running UltraLinux 1.1 from a bootable CDROM,
EIS Computers will be making them available very shortly - as soon as we
get the newest image here and get it up and running and are sure we made
it right. to that end, if I can find a few folks in Southern California
interested in running this let me know if you will be a beta tester, and
I will send you a free copy. Here we have SME Ultra AXi and AXmp boxes,
and a very small number of Sun workstations - we would like to run this
on a variety of boxes to make sure we did the CDROM correctly. I will
make ten CDs for beta testers.

Overall, we will sell them for $20 each, to cover cost of media and the
time it takes to burn the CDs by hand. If we get enough requests we
will do a production run of the CD, in which case the cost will be
lower, like around $10. This cost does not cover support of course. That
may come later. We will ship via FedEx 2nd day for $7 or by US mail for
$5, (to cover the cost of the postage and the CDROM mailer). I recommend
FedEx.

We can only do it at this price for NorthAmerican users. Shipping
overseas is too expensive, unless you are willing to pay it - tell me if
you are in your email reply.

So, if you want one, let me know by email to dvb@eis.com. Please put
ULTRA LINUX in the Subject so my mail reader can filter them (or just
reply to this message). At this point, I am not taking an order, just
understanding how many we should expect to make. Send it to me form a
reply-able email address, and when we are ready to take orders (on our
web store and by FAX), we will let you know. by email.
