Hello,
	I hope this question isn't inappropriate to this list...

After installing UltraLinux 1.1 on my Ultra Enterprise 450, I notice that the
fans all run at full speed all the time, which is both noisy and energy
innefficient. The Owner's Guide says the OS is expected to control environmental
monitoring, and the PROM will automatically put the fans on full speed if the OS
doesn't do this.

	So my question is: Has anyone written anything in linux to talk to a sun's
environmental controls, or found a work-around to the problem, or have any other
advice on this issue?
