I just purchased RedHat 6.0 for SPARC/Ultra and am waiting for shipment.
I am a novice C programmer but a experienced SA. My question to the group
is can I download just about any Linux program and compile on SPARC? Or do
they have to be re-written for SPARC.
I am mainly interested in programs that would give me compatibility with MS
Office and other MS programs as well as The over 200 applications available
for Intel Linux. My main interest is in web development. Are theere any easy
web development tools for SPARC/Linux that would make it easy for me to
design web pages. I am also a novice web developer.
Thanks,
Chris
