In the top level Makefile, you'll find this:


# Use --build-id when available.
LDFLAGS_BUILD_ID = $(patsubst -Wl$(comma)%,%,\
			      $(call cc-ldoption, -Wl$(comma)--build-id,))

Comment that out and it should fix you up.
