The driver detected the modem codec in the tree, which isn't supported yet. In the latest version, this message is suppressed. The serious message is "no codecs initialized". If this message appears, the driver won't work at all. If the driver is loaded and doesn't complain like above, the silent problem is likely the wrong PIN assignment. For ALC880 codec (you can check it in /proc/asound/card0/codec#* file), try a different "model" module option. See ALSA-Configuration.txt for details. Make sure that you use the latest 1.0.9rc4! If none of models matches your device, try to build drivers with debug option and set model=test. This will enable almost all available controls for testing. Check different PIN configurations via alsamixer, and report it to here together with the content of /proc/asound/card0/codec#* files.
