the usb stuff was moved to alsa-kernel yesterday, so perhaps the patch
became obsolete against the current tree.  could you regenerate the
patch, so that it can be applied easily to upcoming rc3 tarball?
it must not be difficult.

I think it's better to integrate this workaround into the general
snd-usb-midi driver (except for firmware stuffs).
the integration of usb audio and midi parts is one of the items to be
considered well.  so far, we have two completely separate layers...

anyway, we need to take the better integration into account.

then this could be done also via fxload?

this is somewhat i'm worrying.
that means, the file is still copyrighted by tascam, and we are not
allowed officially to distribute it even in other forms.
the best is to get a permission from them.
