I found a "trick" for this. you can specify the direction if you want to affect only playback or capture, such like VOLUME "Wave Playback" 0 PHONEIN "Wave Capture" 0 so that only "Wave Playback" is changed by OSS Volume and "Wave Capture" by OSS Phone-In.
