Does anybody still have objections against this action? The problem of compatibility remains, of course. The moderate solution is to provide a converter script such like: sed -e 's/^[[:space:]]*options[[:space:]]\+snd/s/snd_//g' \ < /etc/modules.conf > /etc/modules.conf.new and check the validity of /etc/modules.conf in Makefile via grep, put a warning message if it's still the old-style. If you have better idea, suggestions, or any strong objections, please infrom us _now_ !! thanks, Takashi ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
