This patch is in v4.8-rc1: Subject: [PATCH] SUNRPC: Fix infinite looping in rpc_clnt_iterate_for_each_xprt After over a week of debugging, I found 80b14d5e61ca (which went in during the 4.6 merge window) be the cause of a particularly bad NFS client issue which was killing my servers (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1369600). The client issue seems to be fixed by bdc54d8e3cb4; I've patched that into 4.7.2 on about 150 NFS client desktops and the problem has gone away without introducing any regressions that I can see. I do not know why this was not initially submitted to stable; I asked Trond if he would submit it and he suggested that I do so instead.
