Considering that:
* the code was outdated for a long time and nobody complained;
* SPD EEPROMs are not sensors;
* SPD EEPROM values never change;
* eeprom support will be ultimately dropped from libsensors;
I'd prefer that we plain drop eeprom support from sensord.
