Summary:                    No sound from speakers
Description: 
Alsa seems to detect the sound card, but when I try to actually play
something there is no sound from the speakers.

The driver (ac97_codec.c) is unable to identify the codec, you will need
to find out which codec from the motherboard manual or looking at the
label printed on the codec chip which is a 48-pins square shaped chip near
the onboard es1373

There are many changes between 1.0.10 and 1.0.11
