I saw a recent discussion on Alsa-users about the Roland SD-50 which seemed to
tail off inconclusively.

Does anyone know if this was found to work or not?

I ask because I have the option of picking one up (relatively) cheaply. It
looks like an interesting little box.

But if there isn't a working ALSA solution yet, I might be tempted to pick it
up anyway and try to get it working, although I may need some help with that.

Cheers,

Keith

In theory, kernel 3.11 should support MIDI, and kernel 3.12 will support
PCM even without Jack.

Thanks Clemens. I'll consider it for a day or two, but it sounds like there
might be an opportunity to at least do some verification testing.

If I do, I'll post my results here.

Cheers,

Keith
