As discussed in [1], ASoC core supports multi codec DAIs
on a DAI link. However it does not do so for CPU DAIs.

So, add support for multi CPU DAIs on a DAI Link by adding
multi CPU DAI in Card instantiation, suspend and resume
functions, PCM ops, stream handling functions and DAPM.

Changes in v3:
 - Rebased on asoc for-next

From: Shreyas NC <shreyas.nc@intel.com>

For usecases where a stream consists of multiple BE CPU DAIs,
DAI Link should support the same.

This patch adds initial support for multiple CPU DAIs in ASoC for
card instantiation, suspend and resume functions.

This support is added only for BE DAI Links. Support for FE and
Codec-Codec Links is not added.

The main reason it's taking me a long time to get round to reviewing
these is that they're big, invasive core changes with tiny commit logs
that I'm going to need to go over in great detail.

Okay we can try adding more details but in essence it can be summarized to one
liner of patch series title. I.E make cpu_dai in rtd same as support for
codecs. We are adding capability to support multiple cpu_dais in a dai link.

Yes the changes are intrusive as we have to replace every instance of use of
cpu_dai with multiple cpu_dais in the core.

Do let us know if you are looking for some specific to add here..

Thanks

Do you want cpu_bits at the end here? You are not going to get
the max of the cpu_bits here, you will end up with the max of the
CODEC bits and the last CPU bits?

This still doesn't quite look like, I am not seeing how the
multiple CPU DAI and single CPU DAI cases differ with respect to
whether we should ignore the CODEC channel settings?

Minor nit.

This feels a little funny now, since we are anding each CPU
formats with the CODEC formats, and then anding them into the
result.

Feels like we should just and in the CODEC format once.

I think this is broken since the rates will end up and the
intersection of the last CPU DAI rates and the CODEC rates, not
an intersection of all the CPU rates.

This will call shutdown for DAIs that never had startup called on
them, probably better to avoid that.

Minor nit might be nicer to add this before the i = since that
kinda relates to the code underneath.

This function name still feels a little funny since the function
doesn't add any widgets. It adds paths if there are valid
widgets. Perhaps dapm_add_valid_dai_path?

But I don't feel super strongly about it, so:

Sure, that aids readability. I will check if we can do that at other places
