Hi,

The 'PCM" is a userspace plugin, it only allows to decrease volume
so if you set it to 100%, it will do nothing.



I used this chip back in 2.6.21 days, and I never have seen any change in volumes like that.
I use KDE, so I don't know much about gnome volume control.
