The problem exists on other 2.6.15-kernels tested, as well as on a box running Mandriva 2006. Other media players fail in similar ways, either crashing or going into an endless loop. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- gobo - 02-13-06 23:56 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Seeing the same problems as above. Have tried with several 2.6.14 and 2.6.15 kernel variants and alsa-drivers standalone on my gentoo system. Fails with xmms, mplayer, cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp, etc. I can't really add more than what is already said, but if there is any experimental code you wish to have tested I can try it.
