Hello,
I've noticed midi in (DIN connector) on an audigy platinum ex doesn't work.
There's a patch in a 2009 forum thread
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1354637&page=3
The author seems to have contacted with the alsa project, but the latest
kernel shows no sign of the code. Shouldn't this be commited?

IIRC you have to set the "enable_ir" module parameter.

Clemens

Just checking, that means I should put "snd-emu10k1 enable_ir=1" on
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, correct? Should something be output on
dmesg? (please excuse the ignorance, I still don't know much about alsa)
If that's it, it's still not working, not with that parameter nor with
the aforementioned patch.
The only way it starts working is by rebooting to windows and then back
to linux. I'm guessing the emu needs some kind of initialization?
