I have an ASUS A8N-VM CSM and am using th spdif connector on the board to feed my AV amp. This digital audio out works fine with AMD64 Debian Sid running under kernel 2.6.15. I use the hda_intel driver from the stock kernel rather than resorting to OSS and the 'supported' Nvidia supplied driver. My problem is that I cannot get the analog capture to, well, capture anything. Is this releated to the problems that you guys seem to be having? If it is then i'll try patching the kernel as sugested. I've not had any of the sqeeking and screaming that some people report, though again, is this just happening on analog outputs? Rich ---------------------------------------------------------------------- awjb - 02-13-06 15:02 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Same problem here. I only get sound from the right speaker and the left one does a high pitch noise. If I select stereo downmix whole card goes silent and won't do anything thereafter.
