Envy24control has no button to select the internal source, but in fact it seems always selected and works fine. Consequently the front panel inputs never work,(I can only test optical, but internal source is always working) although the selector 'SPDIF input' changes the panel lights correctly, and the 'SPDIF on/off' swaps the lights whichever way they were. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alanmann - 06-29-05 22:39 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks, alsamixer does enable SPDIFs to be selected as a workaround. However the switch "Front Digital Input" is reversed -ie "off" enables front panel sources, "on" activates the internal SPDIF. Following this I perused the source code of envy24control where the switch actions are used to change variables and noticed an error in hardware.c. After a quick edit and recompile the SPDIF on/off switch functioned just as the alsamixer one does -also reversed. Subsequently I swapped the logic and changed a couple of the titles to make more sense. So the SPDIF selection problem is a simple 'bug' in e24c hardware.c. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tiwai - 07-08-05 14:48 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you have a patch to fix it?
